Request for Proposals: Unique Business Opportunity at Art Factory in Renfrew

Background:

Art Factory is a unique 10,384 sq/ft space on Renfrew's main street that integrates an Art Gallery, Art Supply Store, Art Studio, Art Classes, and Event Space/Venue Rental. Conceived and brought to life by poet and painter Patrick John Mills, this privately funded art center is set to become the largest of its kind in Canada, dedicated to fostering creativity and community engagement.

Phases 1 (Art Supply Store) and 2 (Warehouse) are complete, while Phase 3 (Factory) is underway, targeting a summer 2024 completion.

Opportunity:

Art Factory is offering an exciting opportunity for a business to occupy the front north/west section of the main building, ideally suited for a café/catering business. Opening in summer 2024, the available space comprises approximately 1,200 sq/ft in an open concept layout.

Art Factory's vision is to be an inclusive event center hosting diverse activities such as weddings, paint nights, art battles, live music, yoga, monthly art events, Christmas parties, corporate team building, birthdays, sound healing, theater, dance, film festivals, kids game nights, comedy nights, and event rentals — anything celebrating community, creativity, and inner wellness.

Art Factory offers:

  • 18 onsite parking spaces
  • 4 individual bathrooms
  • 1 family-accessible bathroom
  • Large outdoor Zen Garden space with seating

    Ideal Partner:

We seek a community-driven and flexible partner capable of delivering a high-quality café/bistro or catering business. Discussions on operational hours and event flexibility are encouraged, and specific terms can be negotiated.

    Submission Guidelines:

    • Please outline your business, experience, and how it aligns with the vision of Art Factory.
    • Provide details on your proposed operational hours, staffing plan, and any special considerations for events hosted at Art Factory.
    • Include a financial plan outlining any proposed terms for leasing the designated space.
    • Please submit your proposal to liveloveartfactory@gmail.com.

Art Factory will review proposals on an ongoing basis. We may invite you for an in-person discussion following your submission. Feel free to follow-up at any time.

We appreciate your interest in becoming a part of Art Factory's vision and look forward to receiving your thoughtful proposals!

      Live Love Art,
Tanja Kisslinger and Patrick John Mills
